James Anseth, 61 of Oswego IL, born September 5, 1946 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, was called by God and is "on the road again". September 19, 2007 saw the end of his labors here.

He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Fern Anseth; four children, Jeff (Cheri) Anseth of Aurora, Jennifer Anseth of Iowa City, IA, Katy Anseth of Somonauk, and Amanda (Felipe) Mejia of Chicago; four grandchildren, Cameron, Aiden, Evan, and Lourdes James; as well as the many friends that have become family.

Graduating from Valley City State College in Valley City, ND with a degree in education, he became a teacher and then high school Principal. As his life and walk with God unfolded he brought his family to the Chicago area and began his career in construction, where his attention to detail, fastidious notes and lists earned him a reputation sought after in the construction industry.

In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren he is survived by his mother, Maxine Anseth of Lakota, ND; brothers, Marvin (Mary) Anseth of Fairfax VA, Tom (Linda) Anseth of Mandan ND, and Ronald Anseth of Grand Forks, ND; sisters, Mary Beth (Kenneth) Eli of Cooperstown, ND, and Pammy (Gene) Wohlsdorf of Bismark, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his father, Harold Anseth; niece, Jill; and nephew, Max; father and mother-in-law, Earl and Lois Erickson.

A memorial/remembrance service will be held Sunday, September 23, 2007 from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. with the 4 o'clock hour for sharing stories, laughter and love.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007 from The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora. James will be interred at Shiloh Cemetery, Kalona IA at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the family.
