[David Boland was a son of David and Agnes (____) Boland born on 23 July 1748 in Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut, and died on 8 Jun 1795 in Sharon, Litchfield County, Connecticut, age 46. He married Betty Keeler about 1770 in Sharon and together they had at least eleven children: Rowena, Reuben, John, Abigail, Bettey, Polly, David, Belinda, Ezra Ambler, Augustine Elmer, and Anson.
He served in the Revolutionary War as a Cornet in the Connecticut Militia in the Light Horse and as a Lieutenant in Major Elisha Sheldon's Dragoons, in 1776.
