Services were held Friday, July 14, from Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home for Silas Boyles of 4126 Robin Dr. Officiating ministers were the Rev. W. F. Whaley and the Rev. LaRue Owen.
Boyles, 71, died Thursday, July 13, at Mississippi Baptist Center following a brief illness.
A native of Smith County, Boyles lived in Jackson more than 50 years. He was associated with Ryan Supply Co. before his retirement and was a member of Broadmeadow United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Carr Boyles; a son, Derwood Boyles of Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. Joy Boleware of Flossmoor, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Christie Wilkerson of Jackson and Mrs. Ernie Wardell of Florence; and four grandchildren.
Burial was in the Lakewood Memorial Cemetery.
