Raymond Leroy Choate age 94 of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2020. The son of Charles and Blanch Choate, Raymond was born on July 19,1926 in Gore, Oklahoma.

Raymond worked at the Texhoma Livestock Commission for 46 years. When he lived in Texhoma Oklahoma everyone both young and old called him Choate. He was friends with cattle buyer’s from around the country. He had a gift at sorting cattle and enjoyed his work and he was one of the best. Raymond retired in 1997 and moved to Moore, Oklahoma. He had many friends in Moore and they called him Raymond. He was a member of Fresh Start Community Church in Moore, Oklahoma for 20 years. He enjoyed coming every Sunday and rarely missed. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

He is survived by wife Vivian Choate of 69 years, five children Ray and wife Magalie, Judy Stanley and husband Larry, Sharon Ellis, Roy and wife Teresa, Nick and wife Peggy, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one brother Charles.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held October 14, 2020, at Moore Cemetery located at 800 SW 4th Street in Moore, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.

Due to COVID the family is asking everyone to wear a mask.
