FONTANA - Eugene Henry Rossmiller, 78, longtime resident here and former businessman, died yesterday after a brief illness.
He had been in the ice business in Fontana more than 30 years and in recent years a caretaker at Glenwood Springs Subdivision.
Born July 31, 1887, in Burlington, the son of Henry and Mary Theigs Rossmiller, he married Estella Crumb July 31, 1912, in Woodstock, Ill.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Henry and Charles, both of Fontana; three daughters, Mrs. Martin Fuhrman, Janesville, Mrs. Walter Schulz and Mrs. David Woodrich, both of Walworth; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Walter, Fontana; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Menard, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Edward Easterday, Fremont, Ind.
The funeral Mass will be read by the Rev. Arthur Kelly at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fontana, with burial in Walworth Cemetery. Friends may call at the Walworth Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m.
