Ms. Grace Hickox Dupper, 86, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Retirement Inn following an extended illness.

Ms. Dupper was born February 21, 1934 in Savannah to Hampton Lee Hickox and Marie Stroud Way Hickox. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Henry; sons, Glenn Henry, Randall Henry; brother, Curtis Hickox.

Ms. Dupper enjoyed going to the mountains, going to the senior center, and cooking. She loved her family and her church. She was a member of Swainsboro First Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school.

Survivors include her son, Richard Henry of Rome; daughters, Brenda (John) Horne of Cartersville, Jan Yarbrough of Jasper, AL; brothers, Gibson (Martha) Way, Lamar (Mona) Way, Wayne (Carolyn) Way, all of Swainsboro; granddaughters, Rachael Wheeler, Rachelle Wheeler, Brittany Moore, Amanda (Evan) McClosky; great-grandchildren, Jayla Ford, MaKynli Wheeler, Kyrin Wheeler; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 15th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Morris Brantley officiating. Interment will follow at Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 15th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pallbearers are David Parham, Giles Way, Tommy Way, and Curtis Hickox. In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, the six-feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
