Roger Dale Price, 57, of Bassett, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Carilion- Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 12, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Robert and Nannie Widener Price.

Roger was a welder with Flute Sheet Metal for 15 years. He enjoyed playing Bluegrass music, fishing, and helping people. In his early years, he attended Fairway Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Faye Grindstaff; and brothers, John Wesley Price, Everest Clay Price, and Jimmy Dean Price.

Roger is survived by his girlfriend, Janice Diane Stone Pierce; daughter, Angel Diane Pierce Ocampo (Oscar); sisters, Betty Barker and Sara Jane Price Nelson; brothers, Samuel Lee Price and Daniel Eugene Price; and grandchildren, Tanya Morales, YaJaira Ocampo, and Adan Ocampo.

The funeral service will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Henry Memorial Park. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is handling arrangements.
