Mrs. Stanley's maiden name was Lydia C. Linerode, her parents formerly living north of Sterling and she was married to Rev. T. [Thomas] B. Stanley, who preceded her in death.
Surviving members of the family are a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Moyer and a son, Earl Stanley, both of Cedar Rapids.
Rev. T. B. Stanley was a Christian minister and evangelist and the family lived here for a number of years, going from here to Cedar Rapids about 20 years ago. He was a brother of W. H. Stanley of this city who was unable to attend the funeral of his sister-in-law on account of illness.
Mrs. Stanley was an aunt of Mrs. G. [George] A. [Annetta A. Colcord] Over and she also leaves other relatives in this vicinity, besides many old friends who will be grieved to hear of her passing.

Mrs. Lydia C. Stanley Dies At Age Of 80
Mrs. Lydia C. Stanley, widow of Dr. T.B. Stanley, died at her home, 226 Fifth avenue west, at 9:25 a.m. today.
She was born Dec. 31, 1849 in Tuscarles[sic] county, Ohio and had been a resident of this city for thirty years.
Surviving are one son, Dr. Earl Stanley and one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Ada Moyer, both of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Clair Stanley of Peoria, Ill.; Rosalie Stanley of this city and Charles Stanley of Tama, besides two great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Milton Linerode of Boliver, Ohio, and a stepsister, Mrs. J.C. Fraser of Colledge View, Neb.

Funeral service for Mrs. Lydia C. Stanley will be held in the Turner chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. J.W. Dorcas of Nevada will officiate and burial will be in Linwood cemetery.
