Inscription

This monument is sacred to the memory of Mr William Cooley who departed this life March the 10th 1775. In the 77th year of his age.
Great God, I own thy sentence
And nature must decay
I yield my body to the dust
To dwell with fellow clay
Tho' greedy Worms devour my skin
And gnaw my wasting Flesh
When God shall build my Bones again
