James H. Shirkey, 75, resident of Port Huron 45 years, a retired mason and contractor, died today in his home, 705 Michigan Street, after a long illness. He was born Aug. 28, 1890 in Memphis. Mr. Shirkey is survived by his widow, Mrs. Minnie Shirkey, and several nieces and nephews. The remains are in the Arthur Smith Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. H. H. Hoyt, pastor of Free Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
