Evelyn M. Davis, 76, of Minonk, Ill., died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator, Ill.
She was born March 15, 1931, in Gridley Township, Ill., the daughter of George Wilson Adams and Vera Katherine Meyer Adams. She married William Van Davis on Sept. 3, 1949, in El Paso, Ill. He died March 16, 1986.
Surviving are six sons, Joe Davis of Grand Bay, Ala., Mark Davis, Sam Davis and William Davis, all of Minonk, George (Carrie) Davis of Morton and Jonah Davis of Peoria; one sister, Guendlen Stienhilber of Minonk; and one brother, Terry Adams of Bardstown, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Walter and James; one brother, Donald; and two sisters, Patsy and Vera.
Evelyn enjoyed doing hair, and crocheting.
Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery.
