RUBY PAULINE HARRIS was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Glen, Okla., to James Monroe and Ida Miller Watson. Ruby passed from this life Sun., Sept. 18, 2005, at her home in Waurika, Okla., at the age of 85.
She and Robert D. Harris were married Nov. 8, 1936, in Milo, Okla. He preceded her in death. Ruby was a homemaker and an active member of the First Christian Church of Waurika.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Harris; four daughters, Brenda Johnson, Dotty Switzer, Neta Sue Richardson, and Ida Kerkow; one sister, Minnie Algeo; eight grandsons; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, four sisters, one granddaughter, and two grandsons.
Funeral services for Mrs. Harris were at 1 p.m. Tues., Sept. 20, 2005, at the First Christian Church in Waurika, with Curtis Plant officiating. Burial was in the Pooleville Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
