Raymond C. Farmer, 58, a resident of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed away at his home on Monday, July 23, 2007.

He was born March 24, 1949 in Somerset, Kentucky, the son of Louie C. Farmer and Lounetta Daws Farmer.

He was currently employed as a Database Manager for Pulaski County 911. Ray was a graduate of Ferguson High School and attended Somerset Community College, as well as Law Enforcement training at EKU. He was previously employed by Kentucky State Police, Somerset Police Department, Rockingham County, New Hampshire Sheriff's Department, Merrimack, and New Hampshire Police Department. He also worked eight years as a broadcaster at WSFC/WSEK Radio in Somerset.

He is survived by his mother, Lounetta Farmer, Somerset, several aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louie C. Farmer, in 2006.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Lange & New Brothers Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Sexton officiating.

Interment will be in the Norfleet Cemetery, Naomi, Kentucky.

A visitation will be held Wednesday prior to the service from 11 a.m. until service time at Lange & New Brothers Funeral Home.
