She was born June 27, 1926 in Ford City to Lawrence and Mamie (Miller) Wolfe.
Mrs. Ankeny was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church.
She was a past member of the Kittanning Eagles.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, John Ankeny of Kittanning; three grandchildren, Rebeca, Jessica and John Ankeny Jr.; and one sister, Margaret Kutch of Bradenton, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl C. Ankeny, who died May 2, 1967; one son, Dennis C. Ankeny, who died July 10, 1995.
ANKENY - Private visitation and funeral services were held for Ruth Jean (Wolfe) Ankeny, 75, of 127 Garfield St., Kittanning, who died Nov. 15, 2001. Interment was held in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Inc., East Franklin Township.
