Mrs. Rhoda Alice Dennis
Mrs. Rhoda Alice Selby Dennis was born near Maquon, Knox Co., Illinois, June 5, 1862, and departed this life, July 3, 1918, age 56 years, 1 month and 2 days. At an early age she joined the Methodist Episcopal Church. Later she moved to Iowa, and there united with the Christian Church and lived a consistent Christian life, until her decease.

She was united in marriage to Albert Dennis at Maquon, Illinois, July 4th, 1881, to which union were born one son and two daughters, Norman Dennis, Mrs. Jessie Wheat and Mrs. Elsie Southard.

She leaves to mourn their loss, the above three children, husband, father, mother, three brothers, two sisters and five grandchildren, besides a host of friends. She was a faithful wife and kind mother.

The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. William M. Dye, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, Eskridge, Kansas from the Agnes Schoolhouse Dist. 77, in the presence of a large company of friends, after which the remains were laid to rest in Agnes City Cemetery. The floral offering was beautiful.

The bereaved relatives wish the writer to express their sincere gratitude to all friends in this their deep sorrow for all favors shown them during the recent illness and death of their loved one.
