Susan Reynolds Bowen, age 73 of Salem, VA passed away peacefully in her home October 6, 2020. In true warrior fashion, she never gave up in her battle against cancer over the last several years.
She was born April 23, 1947, daughter of the late Paul and Virginia Reynolds. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda Murray.
She is survived by her 3 loving sons, Kenneth Bowen, Jr., Chris Bowen and wife Larissa, Michael Bowen and wife Kara; grandchildren, Branden Bowen, Brittany Deisher, Nicholas Bowen, Brynn Bowen, Kayla Bowen, Brayden Bowen, and Marley Bowen; brother, Phillip Reynolds and wife Pat; brother-in-law, Charles Murray; as well numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Marshall Allen officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakey’s North Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
