Ethel Jenette Stewart, age 83, born in Escambia County, Florida, and a resident of Pine Grove, died Monday, October 5, 2020, at Mobile Infirmary. She was a retired examiner at Vanity Fair.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Iria Martin Stewart of Pine Grove; her children, Mary Stewart (Bert) Blackmon of Bay Minette, AL and Martin Claude (Bella) Stewart of Sierra Vista, AZ; two sisters, Voncile Ganey of Stockton, AL and Claudia Dawson of Atmore, AL; grandson, Jonathan Stewart (Dawn) Kelley of Pine Grove; great-grandchildren, Dillon Anderson and Jacob Kelley and God Children, Marty (Eddie) Ferguson, Joseph Ferguson, Olivia Ferguson, and Victoria Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Zachary Locklar and Jonathan Daniel Kelley; a sister, Carolyn Davis, and her parents, John Claude and Alvie Lorraine Etheridge Morris.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Chip Starnes and Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Ferguson, Brian Smith, Glen Davis, David Johnson, Mike Holt, and Keith Ganey. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Ferguson, Michael Hyatt, Little Michael Hyatt, Aaron Hyatt, and Nicholas Hyatt.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, P.O. Box 1628, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
