Mrs. Claudia Jean Morris Dawson, age 78, passed away, Thursday, January 5, 2023, in Atmore, AL. She was a lifelong resident of Atmore, AL. She was a bookkeeper for H&D Construction with her husband for many years.
Mrs. Dawson loved her family and pets. She enjoyed listening to music, and keeping up with her friends on Facebook. She enjoyed going to the mountains, her quiet time studying scripture, reading and quoting it.
Mrs. Dawson is preceded in death by her parents, Claude John (Alvie Etheridge) Morris, husband, Bill Dawson, two sisters, Carolyn (Harold) Davis, Jeanette Stewart, and one brother-in law, Silas Ganey.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Mike) Holt, of Flomaton, AL; Marcy (Tim) McAnally, of Atmore, AL; one sister, Voncille Ganey, of Stockton, AL; four grandchildren Jordan Barnett, Lauren (Alex) Klyczek, Nolan (Tyler) McAnally, Tristan (Hannah) McAnally, five great-grandchildren, Landon Barnett, Luke Barnett, Ava Ray Klyczek, Nikko McAnally, Harlow McAnally, one brother -in law, Iria Martin Stewart, of Bay Minette, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC. with Sister: Helen Stewart, and Rev. Ricky Tedder officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Level Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.
Pallbearers will be Nolan McAnally, Tyler Pierce McAnally, Tristan McAnally, Alex Klyczek, Michael Hyatt, and Johnathan Kelley.
Honorary pallbearer will be Easton Hyatt.
