Mary Evelyn "Sally" Grider 82 of Scottsboro died Sunday October 4, 2020
at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga Tn. following a brief illness. Sally as she was known by family and friends worked at Benham Mills in Scottsboro for many years and She and her husband W.C. also ran a fish
market.
Sally is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John and Donna
Grider. Two grandchildren Harley Grider and Ryan Grider. Three sisters
Beuna Jernigan, Clara Guinn and Albert, and Elizabeth and Bill Truckey.
One Brother John Daniel and Lek, Special sons David Daniel and Jane and
Tommy Upton and Trina. And several nieces and nephews and friends.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband W.C. Grider, Son Charlie Franklin Grider, Parents John Elijah and Margaret Elizabeth Daniel, Sisters Evone Holt, Willie Batey, and Brothers Frank Daniel and Jap Daniel.
The family will receive friends on Monday 5pm until 8pm at the Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 6 at 2 PM from the chapel of Rudder Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Johnson and Bro. Joe David Moore Officiating. Burial will follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Alabama.
