Debra Lee (Daugherty) Rankin, 41, of West Leechburg, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in her parents residence in West Leechburg. She was born Dec. 20, 1965, in Natrona Heights, a daughter of Edward H. and Patricia A. (Oberdorf) Daugherty. She was employed as a medical receptionist and medical records secretary for Russellton Medical Group in Harmarville. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Leechburg, the Relay for Life in Spring Church, where she did much fund raising and was a former member of the administrative board of her church. She was a 1983 graduate of Leechburg Area High School and a graduate of Career Training Academy in New Kensington, class of 1992. She enjoyed camping, doing crafts, reading, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, riding motorcycles, shopping and her nieces and nephew. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of seven years, James L. Rankin; her two cats, Amos and Toby; two sisters, Tracy (David) Albert, of West Leechburg, and Janel (Erik) Cibik, of Leechburg; two nieces, Emily Rankin and Anna Cibik; and a nephew, Nicholas Albert. Friends will be welcomed by her family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in CLAWSON'S, Second at Main streets, Leechburg. Additional viewing will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral ceremonies at 11 a.m. in First United Methodist Church. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Ronald W. Raptosh. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Allegheny Township.
