Effie Mae Harpster, 71, of Bellwood died unexpectedly on September 30, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. She was born January 16, 1949 in Warriors Mark, the daughter of John and F. Viola (Bradford) Biddle.

She is survived by her husband, Edward “Ed” Harpster, Sr., son Edward E. Harpster, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Loyalhanna, daughter Leslie Harpster of Bellwood, four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and brother Harold Biddle of Warriors Mark. She was preceded in death by a sister.

She was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School. She was employed at the Valley View Nursing Home.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5, at 2 p.m. at the Bruce E. Cox Funeral Home, 3784 Warriors Mark Path, Warriors Mark, with Rev. Eric Shafer officiating. Interment will follow in Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m.
