At Ottawa, on Saturday, the death occurred of Mr. Arch. C. Munroe, aged 73 years. The deceased who was born in the 10 Con. Indian Lands, is survived by one son, Alex Munroe, G. T. R. Ticket Agent, Ottawa.
The remains were conveyed to Maxville on Tuesday, thence to St. Elmo Church and cemetery where service was conducted by Rev. Mr. McInroy, Ottawa, assisted by Rev. Mr. Lee, of St. Elmo and Rev. R. McKay, of Maxville. The pallbearers were Messrs Jas. McNaughton, D. D. Munro, Montreal, Alex McNaughton, J. P. McNaughton, Duncan Munro and A. G. McGregor. St. Elmo.
