I have been photographing cemeteries in the Eastern Ontario / Ottawa area since 2010. As a retired Air Force Officer my initial interest was in photographing the Wartime Military graves in Beechwood Cemetery. After finishing the Military graves I began to work on the rest of Beechwood, but ran into difficulty getting permission to photograph there, so I moved on to nearby Notre Dame cemetery.

I have complete sets of photos for 250 cemeteries. Originally I posted them on Canadian Headstones with the help of several volunteers. With the change to Canadian Headstones that made it made it impossible to add photos, I switched to Find A Grave. Many cemeteries on Find a grave are only partially completed and/or are missing many photographs. Since 2019 I have been working through my inventory of cemetery photos to update and complete over 80 cemeteries on Find A Grave. I have stopped photographing new cemeteries and now only go out to update cemeteries that I shot several years ago.

I am currently working on Notre Dame cemetery in Ottawa. If anyone would like to help create memorials using my photos please contact me.
