Wayne Lee Thomas, 67, of Kings Mountain, NC died Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Atrium Health Kings Mountain.

A native of Dahlonega, GA; son of the late Herbert L Thomas (1919–1989) and Sarah Ann Hatield Thomas (1918–2004).

A loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved to laugh and make others laugh, he was never on time, and never met a stranger; a hard worker who loved tractors and was a natural caregiver.

A long-time self-employed owner of C& M Machine Company; a long-time follower of Jesus Christ and member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church.

Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rachel Bradley Thomas; son, Rev. Matt Thomas (Kristen); daughter, Cindy Blanton (Chris); grandchildren, Michael, Brooke, Brittany, Sophia, and Lydia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Anthony Grove Baptist Church, with Dr. Dennis Dean, Rev. Ken Faulkenbury, and Rev. Matt Thomas officiating; burial in Mountain Rest Cemetery.

The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorials could be made to the American Diabetes Association.
