Death of Well Known Resident

The death of Patrick Dougherty, an aged and respected resident of this town, died yesterday afternoon at his late home on West Main Street. On account of his advanced age, he has been confined to home for a long time and a couple of months ago he sustained injuries by a fall which confined him to the bed and finally resulted in his death. Deceased was 86 (correct age 96) years of age and had resided in this town about 40 years. He was a man of character and was one of Plymouth's most respected citizens. He was a devout member of St. Vincent's Church. He was charitable and had endeared himself to a wide circle of friends. He is survived by four daughters and two sons, Catherine, John, and Margaret, at home; Mrs. John McDonald, Franklin Street; Felix Dougherty, Kingston, and Mrs. M. Dougherty of Independence, Kansas. His funeral will be held on Thursday morning with a requiem mass at St. Vincent's Church at 9:30 o'clock. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
