He graduated from Santa Cruz High School, class of 1960. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force between 1963 – 1967. He was employed by the Los Alamos National Lab and retired in 1997.
Jake had a friendly, outgoing personality and had the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Conce and Porfiria Fresquez; brother, David, infant son, Michael; his father and mother-in-Law, Sabino and Maria Gonzales; brothers-in-law, Sam and Ernest Gonzales, and sister-in-law, Lucy Fresques.
He is survived by: his spouse of 50 years, Gloria Fresques; children: Mark Fresques, Sandra Apodaca (Jesse), Jacob Fresques (Jessica), and Angela Fresques. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Mario, Joseph, Dominic, LeeAndra, Jirina, Jacob Jr., and Sean; his siblings: Robert Fresques, Conce Fresquez (Shirley), Therisa Ortiz (Wray), Benny Fresquez (Arlene), Cyndee Fresquez and Julie Fresquez, and special friends, Richard and Mona Ramirez and his family.
