Sharon Rae White, 82, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 9:45 p.m. at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born on July 18, 1938 to the late Raymond and Emerald Iiames. On September 16, 1959, she married Emil White, who survives her in Lima.

Sharon graduated from Lima Senior High School, the very first graduating class. She attended The Ohio State University and then later graduated from Lima Technical College where she obtained a degree in Nursing. She worked for the Head Start Program and then later Ohio Worker’s Compensation, where she retired. She loved to cross stich, audible books, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Mike (Tammy) White and Steve White, grandchildren: Kayla (Derek), Cory (Molly), Ashley (Nick), Emily, Jessica (Austin), Simone, and Hazel, 8 great-grandchildren, sister: Linda (Don) Staley, and brother: Jim (Joyce) Iiames.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the funeral home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Rev. Wanda Werking will officiate. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
