She died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, in Covenant Medical Hospital in Levelland.
She was born on Sept. 5, 1909, in Goshen, Calif. She married Boyd Hogue on July 22, 1939, in Brownfield. He died Sept. 14, 1990.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Dorcas Sunday School class. She was a lifetime member of the PTA and she was a Cub Scout den leader for some time. She owned and operated Hogue Gift Shop until retirement and then operated a day care center out of her home.
Survivors include a son, James of Levelland; a sister, Catherine Brumley of Mountain Grove, Mo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
