She married Clements Quint Jan. 28, 1945, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sterling.
She helped her husband farm for many years as well as working in the office at Stickney's, The Great Western Sugar Factory and several hospitals, including the Sterling Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Quint loved to crochet and bowl and was the Iowa state champion bowler in 1975. She was an organist and active in many musical activities, particularly in her church.
She is survived by her husband, Clem of Sterling; four children, Karen Quint of Sterling, Ruth Stoffels, Michael Quint and Thomas Quint, all of Akron; two sisters, Bertha Marlatt of Alliance, Neb., and Frieda Black of Aurora; one brother, August Luft of Sterling; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Clements Mark Quint; four sisters, Marie Luft, Amelia Vendegna, Anna Miller and Pauline Kautz; seven brothers, Conrad Luft Jr., Ferdinand Luft, John Luft, Solmon Luft, David Luft, Carl Luft, Carl Schad, and one grandson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday at the Chaney-Reager Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sterling with Rev. James R. Nash officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. A lunch will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Hour, Trinity Lutheran Youth Education Programs or the Hospice of the Plains.
