Emma G. Langford, 79, died on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at NMMC, Tupelo. Born on March 30, 1931, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Renfro Miller. A homemaker, Mrs. Langford was a member of First Baptist Church and was active with First Friends. Strong-willed and independent, she was passionate in everything she did, whether it was in her paintings, making porcelain dolls, or fixing things around the house. Having a distinctive grin and giggle, Mrs. Langford enjoyed traveling, camping and socializing and eating with her circle of friends. She enjoyed Gospel music and listening to Elvis Presley.

Living family omitted.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Charles Langford, and a brother, Felix Miller.

A Memorial service for Emma G. Langford will be held at 2 PM, Saturday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Allen Simpson and Bro. Jimmy McFatter officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert, Josh and Silas Knight and Bryan Wiggington. Visitation will be from 1 PM until the service hour at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be given to First Friends, P. O. Box 540, Amory; First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 540, Amory; or American Cancer Society, % Beth May, P. O.
