Mrs. Geneva Pearl Miniex Griffith
Geneva Pearl Miniex was born February 24th, 1944 to Linkie B. Perry and Joseph Miniex. She leaves to mourn her first born, Lawrence Gregory Miniex (Rochelle); her baby girl, Dequetta Renet Griffith (Chad); her one and only brother, Gerald Anthony Davis; seven grandchildren, Lawrence, Justin, Jenny, DeAndra, Kelan, Bremilin and Lil Caleb; one nephew, Jonathan Davis; one step-sister, Sharon of Killeen, TX; two step-brothers, Randy of Omaha, NE and a one in Atlanta, GA and a host of good fun cousins, friends and classmates.
She accepted her Lord and Savior at an early age, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. S.A. Crowder, Rev. J. F. Shaw and was currently under the leadership of, Rev. Ronald Freeman. At the age of 11, she asked Sis. Crowder to give her something to do in the church. From then on, she was Secretary of Sunday School, President of the Junior Usher Board, Director of the Junior Choir and a Baptist Training Unit Teacher. She was also on the Board of the J S Clark Alumni.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linkie; an aunt, Robert Lee; an uncle, Jeff Perry; maternal grandparents, Robert & Bertha Perry; paternal grandparents, Marshall & Pearl Miniex; a sister-in-law, Margaret Davis and her father, Joseph Miniex.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Williams Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Serenity Memorial Park.
