Vernon Nathaniel Fowler, 90, of Kansas City, KS passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born December 23, 1929 in McCrory, Arkansas the son of Alvin and Lular Fowler.
Vernon had a deep faith and was a member of Calvary Chapel in Kansas City, KS. His greatest blessings were his family members who he would pray for at least three times a day. He enjoyed playing dominoes, playing Uno, and watching old westerns. His favorite time was family time because he loved the company of others and eating desserts with them. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Alma; parents; and five siblings. He is survived by five children, Diane Henak (Earl), Larry Fowler (Eva), Beverly Christopher (Tim), Steve Fowler, and Gail Bailey (Robert); grandchildren, Sheila, Melisa, Michelle, Richard, Mona, Misty, Jennifer, Joseph, Shyenne, Cameron, Caleb, Ava, and Shyann; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, Doyle Fowler; and sister Iris Morris.
The family will hold private funeral services. Extended family and friends are invited to a graveside service beginning at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Maple Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery. Graveside location can be found in the cemetery marked by a blue tent.
