Blair Sloniger, 77, of 302 Ashland Ave., Punxsutawney, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1970, in the Adrian Hospital, Punxsutawney.
Born Aug. 3, 1893, in Georgeville, Indiana County, he was a son of Joseph and Mary McManus Sloniger.
Mr. Sloniger was a lifetime resident of the Punxsutawney and northern Indiana County area and was a retired auto mechanic.
Surviving are his wife, Erma Lewis Sloniger; two daughters and two sons: Mrs. Joseph Defelice, Punxsutawney; Mrs. Richard Warrell, Cheswick; Donald, Punxsutawney; Herman of Masury, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; three sisters and one brother; Mrs. Blair Peck, Rochester Mills Rd 2; Mrs. Clyde Barnett, Mrs. Robert Miller and Harry Sloniger, all of Punxsutawney.
Friends are being received at the Pifer Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where services will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. William Blair, officiating. Interment will be in Lakelawn Cemetery near Reynoldsville.
