Mrs. Sarah A. (Ranck) Cutshall, wife of Selea Cutshall, of Smithfield
township, died in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital on Thursday night at 9:15
o'clock. She had been taken to the hospital on Tuesday, suffering from
diabetes and mastoids. An operation was performed on the day of her death.
Mrs. Cutshall was a daugher of J.H. and Mazura Ranck, both deceased, and was
born September 5, 1873, hence at the time of death was aged 59 years, 5
months and 22 days. She was united in mariage at Clear Ridge, Fulton County,
on June 23, 1891, to Selea Cutshall. Her husband was a former commissioner
of Huntingdon County. She was affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal
Church. She was a devout wife and mother, a good neighbor, and a loyal
friend in time of need. Her death is a distinct shock to her family and
friends. Surviving besides her husband are the following children: Mrs.
Effie V. Parson, of Lakemont; Mrs. Eva M. Glanzman, of Huntingdon; Paul
Cutshall and Rowland Cutshall, both at home. Also, surviving are one
brother and one sister, William Ranck, of Hustontown, and Mrs. Nellie
Snyder, of Huntingdon. Brief prayer services will be held at Dick's funeral
home in Huntingdon at 12 o'clock noon tomorrow, after which the funeral
cortege will leave by autos for the Walnut Grove church in Springfield
township. Upon arrival at the church, further services will be conducted
and interment will take place in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
