William Henry Ranck of Hustontown, a retired school teacher, passed away at his home on Monday, May 21, 1951, at 2:30 p.m. He had been in ill health for the past months. The deceased was born at Brownsville, Huntingdon County, on May 10, 1878, a son of Joseph H. and Missouri (Brown) Ranck, both deceased. He was united in marrriage to May V. Laidig at Huntingdon on May 29, 1901. She preceded her husband in death about 20 years ago. Mr. Ranck was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by these children: J. Edgar Ranck, Tyrone, Marshall E. Ranck, Mount Union, Oscar W. Ranck and Samuel G. Ranck, both of Hustontown. One daughter, Mrs. Eva Catherine Woy, preceded him in death. One sister, Mrs. Oscar Snyder of Huntingdon also survives. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of the son, Oscar Ranck at Hustontown. The Rev. John Kane will officiate and interment will be made in the Hustontown Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at the Oscar Ranck home from 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, until the hour for the service.
