Mrs. Favrot was a native of West Baton Rouge Parish. Before her marriage she was Miss Celestine Dubroca, although she was frequently called Miss Soniat, the name of an aunt with whom she lived in Paris. In 1862, she married Henry M. Favrot, formerly well known in Baton Rouge as an attorney She was the mother of seven children, the late Henry L. Favrot being the eldest.
Those surviving her are Charles A. Favrot of of the firm Favrot & Livadais in New Orleans, Edgar Favrot of Popular Grove Plantation, West Baton Rouge, William Favrot of Columbus, MS. Leo Favrot of the state Department of Education, Baton Rouge, Miss Louise Favrot and Mrs. Corinne F. Hart of New Orleans. There are also 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A sister Corinne Cade also survives.
