John A Yoder, 82, passed away June 18, 2020. He was born June 9, 1938 in Hicksville, Ohio to the late Amos and Emma (Graber) Yoder. In addition to his parents, he was reunited with his beloved grandsons, Izzy, Jonas and Joe Yoder; sisters, Lena, Fannie and Katie; and brothers, Jake, Amos, Cletus, David, Noah, William and Joe.
John came to Sarasota in 2001 from Middlebury, Indiana and was a member of the Pinecraft Amish Church at the Park. He was a home builder and loved woodworking.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Lydia; children, Dave Yoder and his wife Wilma of Orlando; Nathaniel Yoder and his wife Betty of Kentucky; Paul Yoder and his wife Ida of Sarasota; Mary Templeton and her husband Kevin of Sarasota; Amos Yoder of Sarasota; Dan Yoder and his wife Laura of Indiana; Ruth Yoder and her husband Orva of Indiana; Aaron Yoder and is wife Lana of Mississippi; Noah Yoder of Sarasota; Phillip Yoder and his wife Doreen of Indiana; Barbara Bontrager and her husband Alvin of Texas; and Samuel Yoder of Texas; brother, Simon Yoder and his wife Elsie of Indiana; grandchildren, John, Joe, Katrina, Ryan, Vernon, Nathaniel, Marlin, Jerhmia, Rebecca, Michael, James, Jessica, Joshua, Jared, Josiah, Samantha, Libby, Brianna, Sophia, Taleah, Aurora, Hudson, Naomi, Abigale, Caleb, Ana, Conner, Alexis, Justin, Justin, Alex, and Layla; and 14 great grandchildren.
