Lola Ella Buckley Nash, 88, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019. Lola was born on May 16, 1931, in Reyno, Arkansas, to David Leo and Mary Buckley.

Lola was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

Lola is preceded in death by her parents, David Leo and Mary Buckley; first husband, William Nash; son, Ricky Bates; daughter, Cheryl Stacey; brothers, Delbert, Elbert, Calvin, Thurman, John “J.M.”, and Walter Buckley; sisters, Irene Cates and Elizabeth Buckley.

Lola is survived by her husband, James Richard Bates; son, Jerry Nash, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; daughters, Judy (David) Benoist, of De Soto, Missouri, Kathy (Michael) Wells, of Longview, Texas, and Tamatha Prater, of Thayer, Missouri; grandchildren, Pamala (Lonnie) Brooks, Adrian (John) Bubins, Aaron (Kathryn) Tilley, Samantha (Kendall) Haines, Krista (Joseph) Gabrielsen, Kyle (Lauren) Bates, Priscilla Boswell, Joshua Weir, Joey Stacey, and Jessica (Jason) Asher; numerous great grandchildren.

All services conducted in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Lola’s funeral service at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, May 25, 2019; Gerald Fears, officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery.
Honored pallbearers: Kyle Bates, Aaron Tilley, Carl Lee Tweedy, Jeremy Powers, Kyle Brooks and Jeff Hampton.

The family respectfully designated Jerry Nash, David Benoist, Lonnie Brooks and Michael Wells as honorary pallbearers.
