Calvin David Buckley of Makanda died at age 74 on Saturday, November 15, 1997, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

He was born August 21, 1923, at Reyno, Arkansas, the son of Leo and Mary Thom Buckley.

He married Letha Nash in Reyno on October 17, 1942.

He is survived by his wife, Letha, of Makanda; one son, John Buckley of Cahokia; one daughter, Mrs. Janette Peterman of Carbondale; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Buckley of Maynard, Arkansas and John Buckley of Pocahontas, Arkansas; and two sisters, Irene Cates and Lola Bates, both of Biggers, Arkansas.

His parents; one daughter, Ada Marie; three brothers; and one sister preceded him in death.
