"City Woman Dies at 77 In Hospital - Mrs Harriet B Rodgers, 77, of 205 Imperial St, wife of Harry H Rodgers, died at 3:25 am Thursday in the Oil City Hospital. Born in Clarion County, September 7, 1895, she was a daughter of George B and Mae Whitling Reese. Mrs Rogers was a member of the First Free Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She also was a Bible School director at the Pleasantville Campgrounds for many years. Surviving in addition to her husband, Harry H, whom she married October 7, 1946, are a daughter, Mrs Edward (Betty) Anderson of Oil City, and two sisters, Mrs Archie (Sarah) Passauer and Mrs Fred (Edna) Gustafson, both of Oil City, RD 2. A daughter, Mrs Mae Kothern (sic) [Cothern], and a son, Elmer Albaugh, are deceased. Friends may call...in the Charles A Morrison Funeral Home...Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2:30 pm Sunday with Rev Howard Rose of Bradford and Rev James Grant, pastor of the First Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Plumer Cemetery."
