At Bennie's Corners, township of Ramsay, on the 17th of October, William Philip, aged 60 years, a native of Peebleshire, Scotland. He emigrated to Canada in 1842, where, after the usual hardships of a new country, he had acquired a comfortable home, when he was cut off suddenly. A true friend, he left many to mourn his loss.
