Nathan married Delores Dunn on February 8, 1951. Together they had three sons: Jeffrey Paul, Russell Alan and Aaron Tyler. Later he divorced after 32 years of marriage. He later married Carol Ashworth and divorced after 14 years of marriage.
Nathan joined the United States Air Force in June 1952. He received basic training at Park Air Force Base in California, and had six months additional training in Texas. He was then sent to France and Germany where he worked as an airplane mechanic for 18 months. He was then transferred to Columbus, Ohio where he finished out his active duty.
He then worked in California for a few years, then moved back to Tooele and began work at Tooele Army Depot. Nathan retired after 28 years. He lived in Arizona for a few years, then moved back to Grantsville.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, his sons Jeffery and Aaron, and by his brother, Phillip. He is survived by his son Russell (Kathy), grandson, Gary Michael Jones, and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment were held Thursday, May 29 at 1 p.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery.
