Blondell “Blondie” Blakely, 71, of the Brainerd Community passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020. Blondie was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and she was a 1967 graduate of Rossville High School. After high school she attended Chattanooga State taking classes in Computer Programming. She retired from Benton Oil where she worked as a computer programmer with over 20 years of service. Blondie loved her family dearly. She also enjoyed dancing and having a good time. She will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Blakely; and sister, Brenda Clark.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Zois; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Cindy Wooten; nephew, Rusty and Mark Clark; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jim Bennett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4p.m. – 8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
