Clara Allen Bozarth, the 6th of the 8 children of Toliver Allen and Eliza Jane Preston, was born on February 11, 1892 in Grayson County, Kentucky. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Allen and Elizabeth Preston. Her maternal grandparents were John Preston, Jr. and Elizabeth Cockerel. She married Charles Hargis Bozarth, the son of William Hargis Bozarth and Lucy Hudson, on July 6, 1913 in Grayson County, Kentucky (Book 14, page 480). They were the parents of:

Bozarth, 92, of Eddyville, Ky. and formerly of Caneyville, died August 19, 1984 at her residence. / Mrs. Bozarth, was born February 7, 1892 in Grayson County, the daughter of Tolliver and Eliza Preston Allen. / She was a housewife and a member of the Caneyville Baptist Church. / Survivors include: two sons, Russell of Caneyville and Hargis, Jr. of Eddyville, one daughter, Nelda Romans of Florida; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. / Funeral services were held August 21 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Rev. Bob Sutton and Rev. Marty Bozarth officiating, burial in the Caneyville Cemetery.
