Caldwell Joseph, 85, pioneer and resident of this community, died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Hunter at LaGrange. He had gone to the home of his daughter on a visit and while there was stricken with pneumonia. He had followed the occupation of a farmer and for more than fifty years resided on his farm near Diamond lake. He was preceded in death by his wife several years ago. Surviving are two sons and four daughters, including Chester Caldwell and Mrs. William Hunter of LaGrange, Charles Caldwell and Mrs. Mark Kinnison, Wawaka, Mrs. Adrian Adair, Albion, and Mrs. Belle Shell, Goshen. Funeral will be Wednesday from the Eddy Church. Burial, Oak Park Cemetery
