SAM J. PAYNE

Rev. C.E. Matthews will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shannon's North Side Chapel for Sam J. Payne, 57, retired barber who died Saturday afternoon at his home, 219 Brookside. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Survivors are his widow, two sons, Rayford Payne, with the Army at Camp Pickett, Va., and Jack Payne, who is on duty with the Marines; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Winn of Gladewater; Mrs. Florence McDonald of Sweetwater and Mrs. Erie Bedwell of California, and four brothers, Warren of Stephenville, P.E. of Georgetown, and Charlie and Cicero Payne, both of Lubbock.
