Sweetwater - Mrs. Dave L. (Florence) McDonald, 88, died Thursday in Simmons Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Funeral was to be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Evangelical Methodist Church with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery. Cate-Spencer Funeral Home is in charge.
Born June 15, 1877, she married D. L. McDonald in 1896 in Callahan County. He died in 1957. They had lived in Sweetwater since 1908.
Survivors include four daughters, Miss Evlon McDonald of the home, Mrs. Jim Osteen and Mrs. Ray Richard, both of Sweetwater, and Mrs. Earl Clifton of Adamsville, Tenn.; four sons, John of Port Arthur, D. L. of Austin, Thomas of Alamo, Tenn., and Charles of Pineville, La.; one sister, Mrs. Lilly Swafford of Baird; one brother, Charles Payne of Lubbock; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
