Don Hunter, 66, of Cadiz, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hunter Cemetery, 2300 Lineport Road in Cadiz, with the Rev. Eugene McWherter officiating. By request of the family, attendees are welcome and encouraged to wear U.K. Blue to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz.
Born November 30, 1953, in Trigg County, he was the son of the late Emmett Hunter and Erma Wallace Hunter. Don had worked as a laborer for Pennyrile Home Medical and at the former Boone’s Coin Laundry in Cadiz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Dennis Hunter, James Hunter, Dewey Hunter, Homer Lee Hunter, Wendell Hunter, and William Hunter; and six sisters, Merle Ball, Georgia Hancock, Eva Toll, Opal Wadlington, Erma Lane Hunter and Katie Noel.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle (Chris) Stites and Emily McAlister, both of White House, Tenn.; his twin sister, Donna Jane (Tommy) Hanberry of Cadiz; and three grandchildren.
