The Cadiz Record obit posted 01 Jan 1997 reads as follows:

Funeral services for James "Buster" Hunter, 61, of Cadiz, were conducted on Dec. 29, 1996, at the Goodwin Funeral Home. The Rev. Tommy Wilhite officiated the services. Burial followed in the Hunter Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mr. Hunter died on Dec. 25 at the Pinecrest Manor in Hopkinsville after a long illness

Mr. Hunter was born on May 10, 1935. He was the son of Emmett McKinley and Erma Wayne Wallace Hunter. Mr. Hunter was a farmer and a general contractor. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Tim, William, and Dwight Hunter, all of Cadiz; a daughter, Regina Hooks of Cadiz; two brothers, Don Hunter of Cadiz, and Dennis Hunter of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Katie Noel and Donna Jane Hanberry, both of Cadiz; and 10 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Home Lee, Dewey, Wendell and William "Bill" Hunter; and five sisters, Opal Wadlington, Merle Ball, Eva Toll, Georgia Hancock, and a sister an infancy.

Serving as pallbearers were Tim, Dwight, Charlie, and Tony Hunter, and Allen and Jerry Sumner.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Americana Cancer Society, 911 South Main St., Suite 208, Hopkinsville, Ky. 42240.
