James Victor "Jim" Harter, Jr., 79, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020.


A native of Mount Vernon, NY, son of the late James Victor Harter, Sr. (1908-1981) and Veronica June Burdsell Harter; husband of Kathy Watson Harter.


A retired U.S. Air Force Veteran, a retired employee of Hoechst Celanese, a reserve Sheriff's Deputy, and a retired Lt. Col. in the SC State Guard.


Also surviving are his sons, Thomas Troy Harter (Anna) and Shawn Raymond Harter (Amy); two brothers; two sisters; and five grandchildren.


Predeceased by his son, Shane Victor Harter.


Memorial service held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Victor Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery and Rev. Terry Hawkins.
